Slim Down with Help from Dr. Caroline Glicksman

CoolSculpting®

CoolSculpting® is best used as a non-invasive fat removal technique for people with small, persistent areas of fat. The treatment works by freezing fat cells in a specific area and eliminating them from the body over time. Visible results can be seen in as little as three weeks in early responders, with most showing a clear improvement by eight to 12 weeks.

If you are considering CoolSculpting®, a careful examination by Dr. Glicksman, a board-certified plastic surgeon, will help to determine if you are a good candidate before undergoing the procedure. Pinchable, stubborn areas of fat may significantly benefit from the treatment, while larger areas of fat may obtain a better outcome from liposuction or other body surgery. This may be an ideal procedure for those who are not willing to undergo a more invasive surgical procedure.

Dr. Glicksman personally evaluates every patient and performs every CoolSculpting® procedure. Like any aesthetic treatment, the end result depends on the quality of the assessment and the proper selection of who is, and who is not, a good candidate for the treatment.

An abdominoplasty is also utilized for patients after massive weight loss associated with lap band, gastric sleeve, or other gastric bypass-type procedures. Patients with additional medical conditions undergoing abdominoplasty need to obtain medical clearance prior to this body surgery to make sure that they are good candidates for a surgical procedure.
